I'm not into guy's and haven't been since I was seventeen. It seems to me that if a guy (or girl for that matter) is fixated on your long hair or maybe even your short hair, they are a waste of time. They would only be interested in a part of your appearance and not interested in you.

A real boyfriend (or girlfriend) would be interested in you, whether or not your hair was long or short. People with interest in only one or two things about you are shallow and not worth your time.

Short hair on a woman, particularly boy-short (e.g. pixie style) tends to make a woman look butchy and domineering, or at the very least like a militant feminist kook. It's so sad when women cut their hair boy short right after they become mothers, as though they don't want to look attractive anymore (yes, I know some women do this to be more efficient and to keep little hands from pulling their hair). it's just a general thing since a long long time ago. which i feel is so biased.

generally if a person has long hair the first associated thought that comes into your mind is , 'female'. (i mean of course there are males that sport long hairdos)

alot of times many of my male counterparts have seen somebody with nice long hair and they go, 'hey, beauty', but when we get to see the person's face the reaction may just be opposite!

truly, it's so stereotyped that females should have long hair, but i think not!

we are fashionable creatures and we can style them any way we like. it doesn't make us less feminine!

guys are not as obsessed on vanity as us, so to them the simple thing is, females should have long hair.

whereas for us, we tend to experiment more and all that. even if we have long hair, most of us would like to have it tied up all the time too. yah?

i still see guys fawning over short-haired people like halle berry and all, so i don't see what's the point in girls always having long hair.

but yeah it's just because of general association and this particular thinking since young, that makes most guys prefer females with long hair.
