Thick dark long hair?

i really hate my thick dark long hair. I am always concieous of it. Does anyone have any suggestions to style it nicer (am not allowed to use heat on it or cut)

I have spider web thin blond hair which is barely visible - I have always had a terrible time trying to have some hair style since anything goes flat in two hours, with humidity the hair sags right away. Limp, thin horrible. It's like being bald. I have to bleach if so my scalp does not shine thru. Something about Scandinavian genes, many people have "fine" hair problems. My hair also grow so slow it falls off before it is just past my chin.

So please do not complain about your hair! I bet it is just wonderful. Big hair is in style. Let it grow and then you can try various ways to wrap it nicely on your head if you like a cut look but can't cut.

My GF has thick, dark, long hair and I love it. It looks even cuter when she puts it in a ponytail with a bow.

use branded conditioner, and when you shower always use warm water and not hot.

Why can't you use heat or cut it?

Well, since you are trying to avoid it, just leave it down and put some mousse or gel to tame it.

Or put it up in a pony tail to show off your neck.

Or just split it down the middle and make braided pig tails

You really can't do much without heat... I know I can't live without my straightener and curling iron.

go to hairstyles.com............. i have the thickest straight long black hair in the world and this site helps me a lot....... you can upload your photos there and see your photo with different styles and colors.......... from there, you have idea what looks best on you..... it's really hard to tell your what style looks best on you because different face shape, skin tone matter a lot. Certain style is for certain shape and tone of your face.

You can try straightening it. I don't see why you can't use heat on it. Or get layers, that makes hair more managable.

Well,you could try this:

Let your hair dry partially from the air after you shampoo and condition it,then pour some gel into the palm of your hand,rub your hands together and spread it over your hair then take a wide toothed comb and comb your hair,you can also do the same with mousse depending on your length and thickness.

Or, let it air dry completely and straighten it with a flat iron,but don't put any product on your hair.

I have the same exact hair and it's so long it tickles my waist when i move

my friends (especially the guys) might kill me if i cut it so i only trim it from time to time for healthy looking ends

the fact that it's very thick it makes look too much when it's cut a straight cut so i always get a layered haircut (either layerd from the sides or the back or both)

and im famous for my cute messy bun (it looks much better with long hair) and sometimes i use chinese sticks to accessorize my messy bun style

Thick hair looks gorgeous straightened. Make sure you use a ceramic styler, so it will cause less damage. The skinny band trend is really in right now. Put your hair but into a high, tight pony tail and stick on a skinny band. VOILA! Perfect, party hair.

You could also take a 3 inch wide section of your hair. (about where your "bangs" would be) and pin them back. Then put it up in a ponty tail.

Experiment with textures, try anti-frizz serums or scrunching gel.

Long hair is truly beautiful. You can be worn many ways. I love to braid mine, do a doulbe flip ponytail, or wear it up off of my neck in a bun.
