I am wondering this because i was looking at a picture of nicole richie and shes like 5'1 and very petite which is what I am,and she has long hair...i think it looks good but a lot of times I hear people say that longer hair on a person like that is too overpowering...like you need the height to pull it off....and i dont mean really long hair,about to the top of your chest,like this pic:http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i107/x...

im 5'2 and have long blonde hair with dark brown streaks thruout it, and its just at my lower back, and everyone loves it and thinks its sexy, so, now, long hair is hot, .. i think on to tall of people its overpowering since their height is so much along with their hair, i think they would look like a hairy beanpole.

I think both hairstyles look very good on her. If you are short you should not have it too long, I think a couple inches past your shoulders is good, it depends on your facial features as well.

well, i knew this girl in highschool who was no more than 5 feet, and her hair was probably about 4 ft long. She looked pretty hot. I guess some people like the pixi look and some like longer hair, depends on whether you want to look cute or more classic or something. If you grow it long you could always cut it, so try it.

Height has nothing to do with it. Many petite women look GORgeous with shoulder length hair or longer? I think it depends on the frame/shape of the face,and the way it is styled.

some styles are not the most flattering.

ex. Yoko Ono in the sixties with John Lennon. Even though that was the style back then, it was so overpowering for her face.

I like long hair on any body type; shorter, taller, rounder, thinner. I think long hair is prettier and sexier than short hair. Bangs with long hair, layered long hair, wavy, and my favorite -a center part with long hair are all great. I think men like long hair better than short hair. But I do think hair longer than your belt line is not too practical, but OK if it's braided.

I can't tell you times I've heard men say, 'Don't cut your hair.'

This is just my opinion, but I just like long hair.
