What type of haircut for long hair?

I want to get a new haircut. Right now my hair is long (about half way down my back) and straight. I don't want bangs or anything that will get in my face. Plus it has to be able to go in a pony tail. I don't want anything 'out there'. I prefer something more simple.

Well, what you could do is get a couple inches off, maybe have your hair come down a little past your shoulders, and add some layers to add volume. Plus you could do a very long, sideswept bang that wont get in your face. If your side bang ends at about you chin, you can tuck it behind your ear to keep it out of your way. And dont worry about the layers, if they are cut long enough, you can still put them in a ponytail. This cut will be simple and classic, but still give your hair some volume and a defined look. hope this helps ^-^

You have a lot of options! I would go will layers. Their simple but cute. Adding waves to your hair would look good too. Use volumizing spary(It works wonders!)

P.S. Tell the hair dresser you want a little trim and not to much.
