I have very thick, very long hair, and a limited amount of time in the morning to do anything with my hair (I have a toddler). I'm really sick of just putting my hair in a bun, a ponytail, half up half down or a messy twist with a claw. Does anyone have suggestions for other updos that look great but don't take too much time?

pull your hair to one side and put it into a low side pony tail
it should be tied so low that the pony tail actually starts on your collar bone
if your hair is layered the shorter pieces should fall loose
curl those or scrunch them so they are slightly wavy around your face
it looks very pretty and only takes about five minutes

I have the same problem with my hair. I look better with my hair down because my face is round, but I hate how my head gets really hot, and my hair gets messy and all over the place. If I tie it up, I get a crease in my hair from the band and it ends up looking weird if I put it back down.
The only thing I can suggest is to get a better cut and style for your hair so you can leave it down. Maybe get it layered for more texture, get bangs if you don't have them (I went for a side part for sideswept bangs). Ask your stylist for more advice on how to get a look that doesn't take a lot of upkeep. Good luck! :)
